Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.  I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  Assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.  Mt 5:17, 18

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.  Luke 16:17

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:4

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.  Re 22:14

The first of all commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your hearts, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all you strength.  This is the first commandment.  And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no other commandments greater than these.  Mark 12:29-31  (Does this include Spiritual Israel?)

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  Jn 13:34

And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother.  1 Jn 4:21

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first great commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Mt 22:37-40   (EMPHASIS ADDED) Mk 12:30, 31 in The Spirit

The first four commandments speak of our relationship to God and what is required.

The last six commandments speak of our relationship with out neighbor (brother) and what is required.

Commandments in the Old Testament:

Exodus 20:2-17; Deuteronomy 5:5-12

Showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.  Ex 20:6

You shall therefore keep His statues and His commandments which I command you today, that is may go well with you and with your children.

De 4:40

De 6:5,6 - And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statues which He has commanded you.  De 6:17

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statues which I command you today for your good?  De 10:12, 13

Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments.  De 26:18

Take careful heed to do the commandment and the law of Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in al His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.  Joshua 22:5

Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statues, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.  2 Kings 17:13

(See section on How Many Israel?)

WARNING

Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven.  Mt 5:19  Will they even be in heaven?

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.  James 2:10

HIS REMNANET:

At time of Flood – only eight people went into the art – Genesis 7

At the time of Elijah – 7,000 – Romans 11:4

At time of Apostles – Even now a remnant – Ro 11:5

At the end of the age –

-the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven – Revelation 11:13 last part

-And the dragon went to make war with the remnant of her seed which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ Re 12:17

The remnant “Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters”  Re 14:7

OT De 6:5, 6 and Mt 22:37-40 basically say the same thing to Love the Lord our God with all that we are and have and then our neighbor as our self. This stands up as even being applicable in heaven.  As this thought crossed my mind the other day, knowing Mark 12: 25 - For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.  The Decalogue commandments referring to adultery, parents and wife coveting would not apply.  Whereas the two of Mt 22:37-40 would still apply.

Reading in the “New Bible Dictionary,” the 10 commandments should not be regarded as God’s ideals for human behaviour.  Rather they represent the floor below which no one should fall – if they do, society or God must step in to punish.  God’s ideals are set out in the opening chapters of Genesis, where man is created in God’s image and therefore expected to imitate him.

Yet we are to be holy as He is Holy – Leviticus 11:44, 45; 19:2; 20:7 as well as 1 Peter 1:15, 16

G1785 - díôïëÞ  - entoleô  - en-tol-ay'

From G1781; injunction, that is, an authoritative prescription:
commandment, precept.

As mentioned in:

Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Re14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Re 10:10 - And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
