Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I speak from (according to)
want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and
I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry,
both having abundance and suffering. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. NASB
1 Peter 4:12 - Beloved, do not be surprised at the firery
ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; v13 but to the
degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice
with exultation. Continuing reading to the end of the chapter v19. NASB
Personally I know that it is easier to rely on the Lord during
times of without because there is no other way to survive and maybe from time to time I needed to know this for eternal priority
sake. However, I am asking God for the blessings and the courage, wisdom and knowledge to use the blessings for others.
When you do not pass on the blessings they get bottlenecked or stuck and cease to flow either direction - to or from. Things
that stop the flow of blessings would be our obedience or lack there of and of course there is the will of God,
but it appears that it is His will to send us His blessings.
Actually, I think it may be harder to keep your eyes on the Lord
during times of prosperity - it may be of health, wealth or knowledge or any of a number of things At these times of
prosperity we make start to think we did them on our own and forget to recognize where things came from - Our Heavenly Father.
