2 Corinthians 1:3,4 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Co 4:8,9 - We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed

2 Co 4:15-18 -For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.  16Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Romans 8:37,39 - Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 34:15-19 - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.  16The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.  17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.  18The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.  19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Ps 30:4,5 - Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of £His holy name.  5For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
